On Sunday afternoon when you head up Highway 1746, the fun begins. After checking in, you head to your cabin where you will meet your counselors (16 years old & older who have completed the Safeguarding God's Children-Prevention of Sexual Misconduct <PoSM>). Then it's off to the camp nurse's office (he or she will be at camp all week) and then your swimming test. You will be tested on your swimming ability (by certified lifeguards), then back to your cabin. After getting to know your cabin mates and counselors, it's time for dinner.
All campers will attend a campfire, have swim time and hike. Depending on which camp you attend, there is also rappelling, archery, fishing, arts & crafts. At Jr. & Sr. Conferences, there are small groups, work projects and dances in the evening.
For your weekly cost, you get 17 meals, 11 camp store visits, a t-shirt, lodging, swimming and the experience of a lifetime.
As a former camper said, "These are the people who I count on." The friendships made at the Domain are lifelong.
I can't tell you where to shop, what car to drive or what school to attend. But I can tell you, THAT CAMP AT THE CATHEDRAL DOMAIN SHOULD BE THE FIRST THING DECIDED FOR THE SUMMER!!! Come to the mountain of memories.
