The New Family Ministry supports expectant families in our parish during pregnancy and offers them pastoral care and practical help during their two to three month postpartum adjustment.  Each expectant family is invited to receive a communal blessing at which time each expectant mother is given a birth necklace as a symbol of the love and support of our parish.  New Family Ministry volunteers create these birth necklaces and provide prayer support for the new family during labor and delivery.  Following birth volunteers nurture the new family during their postpartum period by providing meals, breastfeeding support, childcare, or other forms of care as needed.
