Policy and Procedures sounds like a pretty dull ministry area.  However, having this documentation available, in a controlled and central location,  can make the job of running the ministries of our Church much easier while enhancing  efficiency.  The Process and Procedures committee just kicked off an effort to review, update,  and approve existing documents.

However, a lot of knowledge about our ministries is stored in the heads of the wonderful people of our Church.  And as we pass ministry from person to person, there is no reason why the new person must reinvent those ministries from scratch.

We need the help of everyone who ministers on behalf of Saint Michael's.  Take some time to document how you do your jobs.  The intent here is to make it easier to train people in how to do things, and to provide some backup information in case something happens to make someone unavailable.  Your write-ups  may be pasted into the form below and sent directly to me, or you can do your write-ups in word documents which may be sent or brought to the Church Office where they will be forward to me.

The Process and Procedures Committee will work with the Vestry, and Communications Committee to get everything online.  Most information will be made public.  Some will only be available to people who have secure site access.  Thank you in advance for your help and support.
