Gather at St. Michael's

God calls us:  We respond to that call.  We come to this place.  We come with all our diversity and in our brokenness.  We come together to be one people, not giving up our diversity but celebrating it as God's gift; not rejecting our brokenness but caring to one another and the whole of God's family.  We come as we are to be God's people in worship, study and ministry.

Unction

Unction is the rite of anointing the sick with oil or the laying on of hands, by which God’s grace is given for the healing of spirit, mind and body.  Lay Healing Ministers volunteer to assist in worship through the imposition of Unction and offering prayer on the 4th Sunday of each month during the Eucharist at all morning services and in our Wednesday evening services.

Recessional
Music

St. Michael’s has been long known for musical diversity.  Within the varied fabric of styles and expressions the thread remains constant:  commitment.  Our music program is committed to musical stewardship, to our different choirs, our varied worship styles and to a loving Lord.  Traditional Anglican repertoire, classic choral anthems, modern choral compositions and contemporary praise music portray the beauty of excellent musical craftsmanship.  Choir members train musically, liturgically and spiritually to serve as worship leaders through vocal instruction, choir rehearsal, music theory, lectionary study and musical and Anglican Church history.  The result is worship experience rich with musical beauty, artistic challenge and spiritual depth.

As an affiliated parish in the RSCM, St. Michael’s is especially devoted to the musical development of our choristers – children, youth and adult – through chorister training. Read More
