The Diocese of Lexington Integrity Chapter that met at Saint Michael’s has been a model in reaching out and welcoming all who share a vision of inclusiveness. God commands us to love one another. We glorify God by doing so.
St. Michael’s continues to provide a spiritual sanctuary, bringing people to God and God to people, so that Christ’s nourishing gifts of love and hospitality may be given, received, and extended outward to the world.
Integrity has fulfilled this mission at St. Michael’s as a witness of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons within the Episcopal Church and the community. The chapter at St. Michael’s is no longer active, in part, because our members are full participants in the larger St. Michael’s community. IntWe continue to feel blessed by the welcoming and supportive congregation at St. Michael’s. We continue to welcome all persons who seek God into this congregation.
Many people were touched by Integrity during its active period a few years ago. Some still feel the need to stay connected with spiritual-minded GLBT persons across central Kentucky. The Diocese of Lexington is reactivating Integrity as a cross-parish organization. Persons from St. Michael's and other churches across the diocese now meet at St. Martha's Episcopal Church for periodic meetings and events.
