Caring About Community
We're committed to helping make Lexington a better city for those who live here. This means sharing our time and treasure with local groups. We delight in making space available to community organizations and have a special place in our hearts for the arts. For information about using our space for a play, concert, or gathering, contact our digital minister here.

Backpack Ministry Program
During the school year In partnership with God's Pantry, we pack bags (backpacks) of food on Sundays that are delivered to a local elementary school. Children who attend school are given these bags of food so they will have food for each weekend. The group meets first and second Sundays downstairs in the Outreach Room (follow the signs off the front door). Packing times: First Sundays at 9:30 am Second Sundays after 10:30 service Gardens and Creation Care
Seasonal Our grounds are a place of peace, play, and prayer for our neighborhood. Groups within our church tend our gardens, actively practicing stewardship of God’s creation. If you're able to help, consider joining the Holy Mowers and help tend to the ground two or three times a season. Send a message to the church office and we'll get you connected. Christmas for Youth in Detention
Seasonal St. Michael's makes Christmas happen for youth in detention by providing books and snacks for them to open on Christmas morning. Leading up to the Christmas season, we'll collect books (we'll provide a list), candy bars, individually wrapped snack cakes and bagged snacks and caffeine free sodas. We accept monetary donations if you'd like us to the the shopping! You can also donate your time when we wrap and pack the gifts in late December. |
