Clergy at St. Michael's
The Ven. Laurie M. Brock,
Rector
Since 2010, St. Michael’s has been under the leadership of Alabama native (Roll Tide!) Laurie Brock. She's the author of Where God Hides Holiness, Horses Speak of God: How Horses Can Teach Us to Listen and Be Transformed, and her latest book, God, Grace, and Horses. She is a frequent contributor to books and online spirituality resources, as well as a speaker at local and national events about faith. Laurie brings a great deal of joy and compassion to the community of St. Michael’s. She's also an avid equestrian and lets horses teach her about God, joy, and patience.
Laurie graduated from law school at the University of Alabama and received her Masters of Divinity from The General Theological Seminary in New York City in 2002. Before coming to St. Michael’s, she served churches in Mobile, Alabama and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
