Giving to St. Michael's
St. Michael's is a member-supported ministry. Our members provide the gifts of time, talent, and treasure that make St. Michael's a place for prayer, learning, healing, outreach, and community for all. We often talk openly about how we serve God and each other with our time and talent. However, talking about treasure - money - well, that's a bit more awkward. Jesus spoke a great deal about money and our relationship to it as part of our faith.
The operation of our church costs money. From the maintenance of the building itself to the costs of programs we offer, we have bills and expenses. One way we support ministry at St. Michael's is through monetary donations. Your annual pledges and weekly offerings sustain our holy space from week to week and are a critical component to the ministry of St. Michael's. Monetary gifts provide a space for people to get and maintain their sobriety through 12 Step groups, which meet at St. Michael's; your gifts allow for maintenance of prayerful green space in our gardens; your offerings provide for pastoral care to members and non-members alike through our priest. Your gifts make all that is St. Michael's possible.
How can you give? Some members choose to make a pledge, that is, a promise to pay an amount each year. By pledging an amount, we are able to develop a budget (yes, our church has a budget) for the upcoming year. Other members make regular offerings. Members may make their offerings on Sundays during worship, mail their contributions to the Church Office, or donate online. Any amount is appreciated and needed. You can now give to the church now by clicking here and making a donation.
You may also donate by using the GivePlus App on Google Play and iTunes. Click here for more information.
